Specific Speech and Language Disorders
Children with specific language disorders fall into two broad groups, those with receptive (or comprehension) difficulties and those with expressive (or production) difficulties.
Speech and Language Disorders in Children are a high incidence developmental disorder affecting about 5-7% of the population. Consequently, it is estimated that approximately 1-2 children in every classroom experience some sort of difficulty with communication.
